Field shelters are ideal for your horses as they are designed to provide warmth and dryness in the winter and shade in the summer. If using the field shelter for storing hay we can put additional vents in to allow for increased airflow.

They are made to the same high standard that F J Lucas & Son is renowned for.

Field Shelters Specifications

3" by 1" timber framing at maximum 16" centres, for strength and stability.
Clad with 12mm shiplap boarding, and fixed with ring shank nails.
Prefabricated timber roof trusses.
All sections are bolted together, and joints sealed with timber weather strips.
All exterior timbers and cladding are treated with timber preservative.
Onduline asphalt corrugated roofing (non toxic and asbestos free) for the minimum of maintenance.

Extras

Exterior quality plywood kick board to a height of 4', with full intermediate noggins to prevent access by vermin.
Recommended foundation fixings, details on request.
